Storage or instant for a bathroom?
For a family bathroom, storage. A storage geyser heats a full tank, holds the heat and gives you steady hot water for a long bath and the bucket as well. An instant geyser heats water as it flows, which suits short use. If your bathroom is small and the washes are quick, the Aura Rapid Pro and Calidus Pro are the two instant geysers on this list. Everything else is a storage geyser. Our guide to instant and storage geysers goes deeper, and the 3L vs 5L instant geyser comparison shows how far a small tank can stretch.
The 10 Orient Electric bathroom geysers, one by one
1. Aquator IoT
The Aquator IoT is our smart geyser, and it suits households that want to control the geyser from their phone. It is a 5 star glassline geyser with a 7 year tank warranty, rated for up to 8 bar, so it works in tall buildings. The Orient Smart app gives you Eco, Smart and Manual modes, so you can switch it on from bed and step into a warm bathroom. A touch LED display shows the temperature, and 5-level safety protection comes built in. The 15L is priced at Rs. 10,525, with free installation and connecting pipes. To see what smart control really changes, read how smart geysers work and why a Wi-Fi geyser helps in winter.
2. Aquator Neo
The Aquator Neo is the one to look at when the bathroom is busy. It comes in 10L at Rs. 9,780, 15L at Rs. 10,840 and 25L at Rs. 11,840, so a couple, a family of four and a joint family can each find a size. The tank is Ultra Diamond Glassline with a thick magnesium anode rod, and the warranty is 7 years on the tank, 6 years on the element and 2 years overall. A Duron heating element with a non-stick coating resists scale, and the 5-in-1 safety shield includes an automatic thermal cut-off. Installation is free. Pair the 25L with a cold-region winter or back-to-back baths and the tank will not run out.
3. Aquator
The Aquator is a 5 star geyser for high-rise flats and hard-water homes, at a mid-range price. The 15L is priced at Rs. 8,315. It has a glassline tank with a 7 year tank warranty, a 4 year element warranty and a pressure rating of up to 8 bar. A 5-level safety shield, a shockproof and splash-proof body and free installation with connecting pipes complete the set. It is the lowest-priced glassline geyser in our range. Our guide to geysers for high-rise buildings explains why the pressure rating matters on upper floors.
4. Aquanova Neo
The Aquanova Neo gives you a glassline tank, a 5 star rating and three sizes at a lower price than the Aquator Neo. It is priced at Rs. 8,550 for 10L, Rs. 8,860 for 15L and Rs. 10,020 for 25L. The tank carries a 7 year warranty, the element 6 years and the geyser 2 years overall. It has an Incoloy heating element, Whirlflow design for faster heating, 5-level safety protection and free connecting pipes. If scale on your taps tells you the water is hard, this is a good place to start. We cover the choice in how to pick a geyser for hard water.
5. Maverick
The Maverick is a 5 star geyser with a polymer coated tank and a pressure rating of up to 8 bar. It comes in 6L at Rs. 7,660, 10L at Rs. 7,940 and 25L at Rs. 9,570. A 6L tank is plenty for one person or a guest bathroom with a few quick baths a day. It has a nickel-coated heavy copper element, a magnesium anode rod that is 27% thicker, PUF insulation for longer heat retention and a multi-function valve. The warranty is 5 years on the tank, 2 years on the element and 2 years overall.
6. Ecoswift Pro
The Ecoswift Pro is a 4 star geyser with a rust-proof build and a 5 year tank warranty. It is priced at Rs. 7,320 for 10L, Rs. 7,750 for 15L and Rs. 8,750 for 25L. The body is shockproof and splash-proof, and it has PUF insulation, Whirlflow technology, an adjustable temperature knob and indicator lights for power and heating. It suits a family bathroom where the water is not very hard and you want a sturdy build.
7. Enamour Classic Pro
The Enamour Classic Pro is where most first-time buyers should start. It is a 5 star vertical geyser at the lowest storage price in our range: Rs. 5,899 for 10L, Rs. 6,399 for 15L and Rs. 6,899 for 25L. The heating element is nickel-coated heavy copper, and the tank has a 5 year warranty, with 2 years on the element and 2 years overall. If your water is not very hard and you want a simple, reliable geyser, it does the job.
8. Aquaslim Horizontal
The Aquaslim Horizontal lies flat instead of standing tall, which solves a problem no vertical geyser can. It is the one for a wall under a loft or above a window. The 15L is priced at Rs. 9,120 and comes with a 7 year tank warranty, a glass-lined tank, a glass-coated heating element and free connecting pipes. It is a 3 star geyser, so choose it for the wall, not the rating. The right inlet version is in stock today. Compare horizontal geysers and vertical geysers side by side.
9. Aura Rapid Pro
The Aura Rapid Pro is a 5.9L instant geyser made for the bathroom. It is priced at Rs. 3,699, has a stainless steel tank, a copper heating element and neon indicators for power and heating, and carries a 5 year tank warranty. It is rated up to 6.5 bar for low and mid rise buildings. It suits quick washes and a bucket and mug in a small bathroom, not long showers.
10. Calidus Pro
The Calidus Pro is a 5.5L instant geyser priced at Rs. 3,349, the lowest price for a bathroom-ready geyser in our range. It has a stainless steel inner tank, glass wool insulation, a pressure release valve and an anti-siphon valve, and it mounts vertically. It is rated up to 6.5 bar and suits low and mid rise buildings. It fits a guest bathroom or a utility wash area.

Pick by your bathroom
• Hard water: choose a glassline tank, as in the Aquator, Aquator Neo, Aquanova Neo, Aquator IoT and Aquaslim Horizontal. See them under glassline geysers and read how hard water damages a geyser. The glassline vs polymer coated tank comparison shows the difference in warranty and price.
• High-rise flat: the Aquator, Aquator Neo and Aquator IoT are rated up to 8 bar.
• Small or low-ceiling bathroom: the Aquaslim Horizontal, a 6L Maverick, or one of the two instant geysers.
• Phone control: the Aquator IoT.
• Lowest price: the Enamour Classic Pro, or the Calidus Pro if short washes are enough.
• Lower electricity bill: pick a 5 star geyser. We explain the rating in 3 star vs 5 star geysers, and how geyser power consumption is calculated shows how to work out the units.
Getting your bathroom geyser ready for winter
Winter is when a bathroom geyser works hardest. Cold tap water takes longer to heat, and a bathroom full of people empties the tank faster. A full 15L tank gives about 22 litres of bath-temperature water when the tap is at 10 degrees, and a 25L tank gives about 37 litres. That is roughly one bucket bath from the 15L and two from the 25L. If your winter is very cold and baths come back to back, take the larger size.
• Switch the geyser off before you bathe. Heat the water, turn the geyser off at the switch and then step in. Our safety guide explains the full routine.
• Get the wiring checked. Ask an electrician to check the earthing and the RCCB or ELCB before the cold season starts.
• Do not set the thermostat to the maximum. A comfortable setting heats faster than you expect and uses less power.
• Look at an older geyser before the first cold morning. If it has slowed down or started leaking, our notes on common geyser problems and the signs it is time to replace it will help.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Which geyser is best for a bathroom?
A: A storage geyser suits most bathrooms. For a family of three or four, a 15L geyser such as the Aquator or Aquanova Neo works well. For one or two people, 10L is enough. If your family is bigger or your winter is very cold, choose 25L.
Q: Is 10L, 15L or 25L better for a bathroom?
A: Pick 10L for one or two people, 15L for three or four people whose baths are spread out, and 25L when people bathe back to back or winter water is very cold. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one.
Q: Which bathroom geyser suits hard water?
A: Choose a glassline tank. The Aquator, Aquator Neo, Aquanova Neo, Aquator IoT and Aquaslim Horizontal all have one. Servicing the geyser once a year also keeps scale in check.
Q: Which geyser is good for a small bathroom?
A: The Aquaslim Horizontal fits walls with little height, and the 6L Maverick suits one person or a guest bathroom. Measure the wall before you order, because a vertical tank needs height.
Q: Is it safe to fit a geyser inside the bathroom?
A: Yes, when it is earthed, installed by a technician and protected by an RCCB or ELCB. Choose a model with a splash-proof body, and switch a storage geyser off before you bathe.
Q: Can an instant geyser work as a bathroom geyser?
A: For quick washes in a small bathroom, yes. The Aura Rapid Pro 5.9L and Calidus Pro 5.5L are made for that. For a family that takes long baths or fills buckets, a storage geyser is the better choice.
